Sure, they are structures. But I see what they're doing more as their form on the landscape or sea. Or maybe I see what they're not doing (coal plant spume), as their form.

At any rate - in their present form - they won't be there long. The tech is moving too quickly. They look very temporary in my mind, sort of like a sailboat passing through.

Rushmore is less temporary.
