I'm pretty sure cheap and smart don't go together and even though this Hunter was pushing $80,000 when new, spending another $200 on a better charger didn't fit the accounting pricing model.

I'm hoping that by going to this Dometic AC/DC Refrigerator I will get around the issue described in that manual warning you posted. We are either going to be on shore power at the dock or battery power under way, so as soon as we plug in shore power the load will be off the battery.
