I love this time of the year. Our son just came home from Rome - with a college degree! We've been 7 years, 'in college' with our two kids, most of those years with both of them in school. I'm punchy from the bills, I'll probably be flinching for a few more years.

This is the old house and barn across the street from me. I've restored it and still working on it. It's now a self serve bookstore(true!). The old house was uninhabited for about 40 years before my client bought it. I've restored another house for these clients, 3 doors down the street.

Come to think of it, the house I'm living in was uninhabited and un-loved for nearly that long as well, when we bought it in 2000. Now these old buildings are keeping people warm and happy.
