Your dust catch is a clever idea.

And it holds a true straight edge for your cut. Brilliant! I'll remember that. I've been using a Fein 2 (or whatever the later model), corded, for a couple of years.

It's been getting a workout as a dustless sander for me. So far, so good. When I do use it for cutting, I'm impressed with the power (the noise is deafening).

I'm leery of Fein though. I now have 2 of their shop vacs. The older one, a Fein Turbo II, the switch failed. The first time, they cleaned it-worked. The second time, no go. BUT, the switch still works off the tool option(?). No switch replacement available so you need the whole panel piece. $200+ and it's not easy to find - they stopped making that part!

So for less than twice the switch, I bought the smaller Fein vac (TurboIII?), as it's more portable. The Turbo II stays in my shop for tool sanding/routing/sawing, etc(its' big and bulky).

What I like about Fein - Tons of power in their tools. The vacs are the strongest and most dustless I've ever used. But I had a Porter Cable vac before that outlasted the Turbo II 3 to 1. I hate power tools that don't last.
