Perhaps why my wind vane is bent by the end of every summer?

() Never caught him, though. And he doesn't leave marks on deck. A boater with a nearby mooring said he's often seen a bird on the mast. Last summer I installed the Windex with the spike sticking up, but the vane was still bent. Sure confuses the ST60 wind gauge!
