ride a bicycle when & where, without helmets, special gear/reflective tape... walk/run with your friends in the neighborhood any time, day or night without police/neighborhood watch/DFACS, anybody, getting on your case. Having a full time job, paying my own way through high school & college, since age 14. Different times. Not better, just different. All those rules creeping in, for your protection I'm sure. After all, we are from the government and are here to help... and we DO know better...
