My dream is to be able to ride a bike to my sailboat, take off engineless and later return back to ride the bike for supplies, chores and tours.

Riding a bike in motor traffic used to be no problem... you just had to keep your head on a swivel and use the eyeballs, same as sailing.

Only now there are too many folks that don't even look where they are going, too many light runners and too many that drift on the road.

It is as if the world were full of power boaters that only used autopilot while they watched a tiny GPS screen. Arrrrgggg!
