is just the Engenius with its dipole antenna for most applications. That gets me the wifi at the Catalina Isthmus patio from my mooring by itself, as well as the SWYC system at my slip. The biggest bang in wifi is getting rid of your built in laptop system with its blockage and low heat (30mw) components and going above the boat without a lossy RF cable. If I need more, also have an 8.5dB omni that connects to the Engenius antenna terminal. Now when you start going to POE and ethernet bridges, lots of eyes roll for non-geeks; they do work well when waterproofed. But not all the signal processing is created equal for the firmware and chipsets, so testimonials like those here are still needed.
