We bought the Alpha because we have a Macintosh and the Eugenics only wprks on PC's. The other thing I liked is the fact that it uses two USB ports. It needs both port for the power as one won't supply enough prwer for the 1/2 watt it uses. I can only think that it must be more powerful than the Euginics as it uses only one port for power.

You may want an extention cable as I think the one with it is only 8 feet making it very limiting.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Alpha 1/2 watt adaptor and the antenna

A good set would be the Alpha 1/2 watt, the 9DB antenna and an extension cable. At least that's what we have and it works fine. But then, the WaveRv USB unit works fine for us also.
