Mineral oil feels like oil, mineral spirit feels like alcohol. (link)

Get a little out and rub it between your fingers and it will be easy to tell.

If that doesn't work, drink some. If it's mineral spirits you will go blind, if it's mineral oil you will get diarrhea. (P.S. I DO NOT ACTUALLY ADVISE USING THE DRINK TEST.)
