just do an HD patch cord from laptop to computer and there you go. No need to burn it. If no sound track is absolutely necessary, you can use the windows image preview to do a slide show and there you go. Just put all the images in a folder in sort order and let it roll.
If all you want is music (as opposed to musical transitions timed to certain pics, narration or such), just play back the music on a sound system.
Either way, if you use a video editing software, you can do the same, just patch it in straight from the laptop. That way, you are not limited by the storage capacity and the burning restrictions of DVD/BlueRay, etc.
