Yeah, the usual drama at this time of the year - the pic doesn't really show how low it was...

... a few hours before I took this, the top of my prop was out of the water... LOL! At that point, I doubt there was more than a couple of feet of water at the entrance to my lagoon, only thing I could have gotten out of there was my rowing shell, I would be aground virtually anywhere in the bay, anyway...

I'm floating again right now, but still need another 18 inches of water to come in before I could get out, the water hasn't been rising as quickly as I would like even with a good breeze out of the south today... the additional complication is the fact that some of the bridges are on restricted operation this time of the year, so I have a tougher time coordinating their openings with the time of high water I still need either to get up to Manasquan inlet if I try to stage the boat up there... Much easier for me to head down to Barnegat, but I only have myself to blame for being still quite not ready to leave tonight if the water level were to permit me getting out...

Yeah, centerboarders like the Alubats have always intrigued me, something like that would be awesome for the Bahamas, as well...
