I think I read the 395 has a relatively low SA/D 
In Response To: I saw a larger version ()
which may be due to it's stability(?). I recall the SA/D was around 15, pretty low today. Fully loaded, it might be underpowered in light air.
The hull holds lead ballast which makes me think the board isn't too heavy. I like that as opposed to a massive ballasted lifting keel of some kind. I can understand their popularity.
