I've had great luck with my XBM --nary a problem in five years...which

doesn't mean it won't ever have a problem, though It's always worked just fine.

I suspect that one aspect of Xantrex's customer support problems may have to do with the company being bought and sold, or having divisions spun off, or something. If I'm not mistaken, the company has grown/shrunk/changed over the years, and some minor things like product consistency and customer support may have gotten lost in the mix
