...there was a cat that a Canadian couple were rebuilding. Story was that the owners had basically done the same thing. Too impatient to wait and "went for it" without a guide panga. Capsized just before dark. Clinging to surfboards they got off a mayday. A cruiser inside heard. None of the locals would come out but a few cruisers did and saved the 2 persons who had been on board. The boat was 2 years into a rebuild and was almost ready to launch when we saw it in 2008. I hope we never make that dumb of a decision.
