A few (many?) years ago, New London ledge light came on at dusk, but it wasn't rotating. I called the CG on VHF and gave a report. Less than 5 minutes later, the light was working properly. One of the squids probably had to climb the tower and give it a kick...
Personally, I kinda miss the manned lights. Who knows, perhaps someone was there watching things - or maybe not??
