my own question. I'm sixty two years young. If someone else would pay for it, I'd build about a sixty foot, steel hulled schooner or ketch that looked very utilitarian and salty. I'd go for almost flush decks with a small pilot house and a wide hull with a lot of sheer and fairly low freeboard. It's obvious no production companies build boats for people like me any more. This picture has a lot more cabin to it than I like but it still has the 'feel' I love.
