The metal hook and eye catches I had originally installed (slightly visible in the pic) with a good deal of painstaking labor in order to line everything up properly turned out to be totally useless --with sufficient pressure from inside, like heavy metal canned goods and so on moving around in a swell, the lockers doors would fling open. They flung open once the previous year, spilling heavy glass jars of home-canned salmon on the cabin sole (which fortunately didn't break...imagine shards of glass and smelly fish all over the cabin...)
My able 5 1/2 year old apprentice assisting me with the delicate operation of changing the locker catches...
