We did check it out ...

there's another one of those churches in Albert Town in about the same condition. We met this guy at Delectable Bay, maybe it was at Pompey Bay, he had a small run down tiny resort on the beach just to the north of the road that leads to the Settlement. Nice guy. Pretty funny, we sat around drinking with him for several hours, turns out he has a little slave labor business going. These young 14 year old kids would come around every half-hour or so with a bushel bag of Cascarilla bark, the stuff they use in Campari. He'd negotiate them down to peanuts, basically screwed the kids, give them cash and off they would go to buy a new pair of sneakers. He said he was the number source of bark in the Bahamas, and by the looks of things that afternoon, I could see how. I was pretty impressed with the grocery store in Spring Point, quite large and plenty of good stuff. We wound up befriending the local nurse, who was on assignment there for a couple years, pretty gal, she wound up driving us all around, the people on this island are about as friendly as it gets. What about that anchorage at Joe's Sound, been inside there, looks like a tight fit ? I have not. Cheers, John PS > Aqua Doll is still there, they have to get her off tomorrow or she'll probably break up with the wind going north & picking up, and the tide is not in their favor, a strut has already punched through the hull, the salvage guys pulled everything off the boat for the night for fear of her breaking up, job a bit more complicated than the salvage guys thought, but so far, no fuel loss, they got most of it off today. I guess there's a nasty scar in the coral, and they're not quite sure how to get off back out, first time in 19 years the delivery captain had any damage. They missed the end of the reef by half a mile, the sun was in their eyes (not sure why they couldn't see the chartplotter), they were enroute from Hawksbill to Provo, the boat and Captain had done this exact route many times. I guess the owner was looking at a 105 foot Azimut anyhow ...
