I had this argument with architects. A house, or a boat, is to be enjoyed by the dwellers, not by the by-standers.
I don't get it: if anything makes the boat more comfortable (and it's still seaworthy), who cares how it looks from afar? Fuck the people at the dock, if it keeps the cold wind or the heat of the sun away. Or the antennas and dinghy happy, like the Chinese scaffolding in the back of Bernie's boat.
