Under spinnaker off the Jersey coast, in a tee-shirt, in the first week of APRIL? No way...

Hi Dave,

Not sure what I may have done to deserve the weather I've had on this trip north, but I'll take it... the second leg, from Beaufort back up to Barnegat, was perhaps even nicer than the first...

Spent Easter Sunday in Ocracoke, after a leisurely sail across Pamlico Sound from Beaufort the day before... I love Ocracoke, and it's always a pleasure to see a summer vacation spot like that come alive at the start of a new season, the beautiful weather over the weekend had the place bustling again for the first time since last Labor Day... Perfect sail up Pamlico Sound on Monday, a spinnaker run all the way up to Oregon Inlet, then a good SW breeze once offshore... it always seems to fade a bit in the vicinity of the Chesapeake Entrance, although I was about 40 miles off at this point, and I had some light going until about midday... Breeze held thru the night, then a bit light again yesterday AM, and then another beautiful spinnaker ride up to Barnegat, in the inlet by 1700, just a perfect trip...

BTW, is it just me, or are dolphins generally camera-shy? As soon as I pull out a camera, they usually disappear - this time, I managed to grab just 2 frames before this pod took off... LOL!

best regards,

Jon
