(But I can't deny it's given me some ideas about extending the range of the Cal20 beyond home waters buoy racing...but, one step at a time! )
Great thing about this boat is that it needs nothing, is dry sailed (launched with the marina crane) so the bottom is never dirty, comes with a trailer, has a space for the trailer at the marina, and has two sets of sails. There is active spring and fall racing for the fleet here, which is my main interest; along with summer cruising. Of course, the boat's interior needs some serious prettying up to make it a family-friendly summer cruiser, but nothing some paint, a few cushions, and a few of those stick-on adhesive-backed LED lights can't solve.
I think the boat is a good deal, unless I'm deluding myself...which, as we all know with boats, is very easy to do LMAO! I think getting this boat is the only way I'll get out sailing this summer and for the near future, with our cruising boat on the hard.
