I'm getting ready to put mast steps on the mast of the Gulf. Am using the triangle shaped stainless strap style. It's a herd of holes to drill and tap, but I think that's more permanent than pop-riveting. The question is "which would be better - roll tapping the hold or cut tapping the hole -- looks like I can only get 1/4-20 threading, not 1/4-28 in stainless torx caps from McMaster-Carr. Comments? Advice, before I start sieving the mast? TIA -- Leroy
