Time to build new hatch covers for the cockpit seat hatches on my Tartan 30. These are about 18x18 and will be made up of 3" boards, edge glued. I'm planning on using some biscuits along the edges of the 3" boards. To get the 'caulked effect' I'm going to make some shallow saw cuts and fill them with epoxy/graphite. Finished covers will be coated with lightweight glass/epoxy and then varnished for UV protection. Question is to what to use for glue? I'm leaning towards epoxy, but wondering about using 'Gorilla' glue. Any thoughts?
