So it would be redundant to use both Interprotect and West. Of course, they want you to use their own products. The recommendation to paint the first coat of bottom paint while the epoxy barrier coat is still tacky is to create a chemical bond, before any blush or hard smooth surface can form. Interprotect is probably a harder finish than West. I have read somewhere that it contains microscopic ceramic platelets which overlap.
