... and learned a bit more. The Interprotect is intended as a barrier coat to prevent water migration. 4-5 coats are required whether I use West directly on the lead or Interprotect. I think I'll wire brush to shiny, clean/wipe, apply 4-5 coats of 2000E, and on the last coat apply the first layer of Micron CSC while it's still tacky.
