Cyrus made the prototype when he was teaching machine shop related courses at Shoreline Community College. The file was not preserved. He has incredible facilities at his disposal now working at the Boeing Field wind tunnel designing prototypes. Everything they do is with super-corrosion-resistant stainless (515???- not sure if that's the right alloy). He's one of a few of the designer types who likes to mix it up with the folks in the machine shop.
The original design was custom match my shrouds exactly. Johnson solved the problem of adapting to a range of shroud sizes. They had extensive discussions with Brion Toss along the way.
