used it on a Pearson 323 for about 5 years. It was erratic - for days it worked fine then sometimes it would go haywire - something with the compass I imagine. Not great for rough sea conditions, but great for light to medium winds and chop.

I paid $250 for one. Would not pay much more. Scanmar owns CPT now I think and as I recall, they were not too eager to work on them.
