and I don't think the CPT qualifies. The solid state gyros in any newer name brand pilot make all the difference steering a sailboat downwind. The difference is not subtle, it is dramatic. The Raymarine X30 I currently have installed does a noticeably better job steering than the S3G, which did a MUCH better job than the ST6000+ on my old boat. There is actually some useful progress there.
