Are the RPM's measured at the end of the crank shaft or the end of the transmission?

() Aside from the number revolutions being different it's affected by a gear ration, if it's at the crankshaft -- then it's on piston cycle per revolution?
Having said that, the calculation has little to do with the basic sizing of the supression system. It is informative in determining what happens if you don't shut the engine down right away.

- THe engine needs to shut off as you hit the fire extinguisher unless you're using a foam vs. "gas"?
- If you install a fixed fire extinguisher system you also need...
- Saftey for person in engine room
