I have owned both models and like them. I liked the w10 so much I bought the w30 without even shopping other models, after I lost the w10 by leaving it on an outdoor table at Block Island's Aldo's. Great boat cameras if P&S is good enough.
The only negative comment is they use proprietary batteries, and the battery life on the W30 is awful. So I always carry an extra charged battery. They're expensive but you can buy no-name versions on eBay or generic battery replacement web sites for a small fraction of the price of the Pentax brand.
The w10 was a better camera than the w30, but the w10 was obsolete when I was back in the market for the replacement. Image below taken by the w30.
