Unsnarl them upon drying them in the living room. I use hot waters. Mebbe I'm a damn fool and...well, hell, that goes without saying but in terms of laundering sheets... I usta use a net bag which keeps them from snarling so much but seem to have lost it and I don't wash much line anymore though refurbing old boats does generate some wash in that regard.
