I remember long ago when a guy complained that his splice had come loose after more than a year of use and so he wanted it re-done (of course for free silly). One sniff of the rope and I could tell that he washed them. After a cold look up into his eyes with one of my eye brows raised, he knew I was on to him... I said, you could have at least put them on the gentle cycle...

Bucket of warm water is all they need after each season... Oh, and it's ok to buy new rope every once in a while guys!
