I've decided to add a Rutland 913 wind generator to "Bay Fox". This model has a hole in the tail fin, designed to be used to turn the generator out of the wind in heavy conditions. The hole is too small for a boat hook. I guess it's designed for a circle of rope ? How big should the diameter of the circle be ? 6", 9", 12" or what ?

When turned away from the wind, the 6 fins are supposed to rotate slowly. How can I make them stop completely, and tie them ? The generator is 9" above my head !

This board sure has changed since I attended it 10 years ago to gain some useful info about going down the ICW !
