personal approach to seamanship (which is not for everyone) precludes integration in order to insure my continued, intimate involvement, then may I suggest the Alpha 3000. It is very, very fast even when running in a gale in a seaway and draws very little amperage. I've had the unit for 10,000 miles without a hitch.
