My Puget Sound Marina has posted the attached message on many gates and fences:
Mirador has a two-year old Interlux Micron CSC bottom that is in good shape. I have two questions
1) Is Micron CSC ablative or "soft, toxic"?
I asked the Dock Master this question and his answer was "there is no published list of soft, toxic bottom paints. It is up to you and the diver/cleaner to know if it is a paint that can be cleaned in the water"
2) If the answer to 1 is YES - how do I clean the waterline and the bottom?
I checked with a busy and professional diver service - their answer is "we will not clean bottoms in your marina - however, if your bottom were tied up, say for the afternoon, at the city public dock we could clean the bottom in just an hour or two"
WHAT has boat ownership in Puget Sound come to?
- Can't wash the boat with soap
- Can't discharge gray water over the side
- Can't clean the bottom
Do they really want us to not have boats in Puget Sound??
