Still selling - still painting with soft toxic paints

Checked with several yards and "popular" marine supply stores - they all still sell the "soft toxic" paint in all over Puget Sound.

The thing that annoys me is my ignorance and stupidity - in July 2008 I had Mirador hauled and painted - the yard recommended Micron CSC because it was compatible with the really toxic stuff I had applied in Mexico in 2004.

I now learn that the "soft toxic" prohibition on Puget Sound paint has been a state regulation since 1998 but was never publicized. Why did the yard recommend a paint they knew could not be cleaned in the water? and why didn't I know about the "soft toxic" bottom cleaning prohibition that was nine years old when I applied the last bottom. I could have put on a hard bottom paint if I had known.
