() Ablative paints are designed to by naturally "Scrubbed off" by current and boat's movement. I shifted to ablative (Trinidad Ultima SR) three years ago and redid the bottom for the first time last month. I have a diver clean the hull periodically, actually more wipedown of soft fouling than actual scrubbing, and the paint has held up well.
