I would simple put a valve on the drain hose (you might allow a small "trap" to seal it with a bit of water. Then hook a hand-pump to it and pump the contents UP (using a vacume break) and then overboard.

Do you have a shower sump or pump in your head?

    - If you can pump the frige drain to the shower drain pan. Then I'd do that, then you can deal with it in due course.
- We just put the ice blocks in plastic containers
  - That works -- or use callon milk jugs and freeze water in them.
    - There will still be some condensation water even if the ice-melt is contained
      - That is what I did...

- I have a T below the galley sink drain that I pump the icebox through.
