compressible water?

What vacuum would water create? Being a fluid and a liquid, is not compressible (at the macroscopic level), and I guess is not expandable to anything we would consider a vacuum either (ignoring any gas in solution with the H2O and in communicating vessels conditions with the atmosphere).

I confess not to have a masters in fluid dynamics, though. It's intriguing what Rich H says. Too bad we don't have Jax around anymore to add his scientism to this.

I wonder if old sails create less viscosity than new ones
