I spend the entire winter there two years ago. I would say that yeah, fronts go through there but the people are friendly; thiefts limited (except mostly Marsh Harbor is iffy) and there are good anchorages that are calm. Also the diving is good and you don't have the feeling of a summer camp for curisers. Unless of course that's what you want!
