The Abacos do have cooler winters than the more southern Out Islands...and more cold fronts. The reason we skip the Abacos is that they are more like "Florida East". There are more restaurants, bars, marinas, and businesses than in the the outer islands. Obviously, to each his own. It's just not what we choose to experience while we're in the Bahamas.

We like more secluded anchorages, beaches, etc. For example, Johnson Cay in the Jumentos.
