I'm in a bit of a dilema. I would obviously like a roller but the CQR fits so nicely on it's side nestled against the pulpit I might just leave it there. I have it on it's side with the flukes (or whatever they're called on a plow) and the point over the side but the shaft on deck with a line from the shakle back to the next stanchion pulling it aft so that one fluke is aginst the toerail and the other is against the pulpit (with some padding taped to it). It... does...not...move. I can kick it in any direction and it doesnt' budge. It's flush along the side of the hull but it's aft of the chocks anyway so it won't chafe a mooring or anchor line, the shaft is right along the toerail so it isn't in the way getting around on deck. I think it might be a while before I look into a roller.
