You had asked about my rudder, sorry I didn’t get back to you…
I rebuilt my rudder a few years ago. Cut off the skeg, urgraded the rudder post from 1 1/4 bronze to a piece of 1 5/8 Nitronic 50 stainless that was leftover from a bit of rod from a 155’ Perini Navi, courtesy of my good buddy Pete Linwick @ Florida Rigging…
Created a bit more of a balanced spade rudder, built up the leading edge by about 15%, largely based upon the advice of old CWBBer’s Jeff H, and TalW…
BIG improvement, I’ll fill you in when I get the chance…
