Peter, why do you prefer Micron Extra to Hydrocoat? I've used both for years and see no difference in the performance. Both have been very effective against hard growth but needed wiping for slime at least once per month starting in July. Home port is in a very high growth area (western Long Island Sound). Smoothness and wear is about the same.
I settled on Hydrocoat because it's water-based and half the price of Micron. I also use it on a RIB since 2003 and find it does not damage the glued seams or fabric, and adheres well even to the flexible portions (it develops micro-cracks from the flexing of the Hypalon, but stays on and anti-fouling performance remains).
