I was applying it on a warm day, maybe even in the sun. It set up too quickly to allow me to smooth the roller stiple with a brush. I'll remember that and keep out of the sun, maybe even thin it if need be. I like to get a smooth finish if I can.

I think oil based is more forgiving in this regard.

I too got some flaking but I get that with any ablative it seems.
