Plan A in this project for a DIY icebox conversion. Looked on craigs list for a "12volt refrigerator", did the search thing. Sure enough I got a hit. Guy says, Igloo 12 volt, like new, $40. Absolutely could not pass that up, intention was to .....yep, remove the guts and transfer to the icebox on the boat. So $40 and a short trip to downtown and I have a like new Igloo 12volt fridge.........did not bargain that it would be like new, or that it would be enormous. So now I have remorse about gutting it and it is sitting in my basement. It is way too big to carry anyplace easily, too big to fit on the boat except to take up the q-berth, but it was like new and a steal.

Plan B was the dorm fridge, that didn't work out (GOBI).

Plan C is the same as pre-plan A which is to do nothing.

There is no plan D of adding a $6-700 conversion because we just don't hang on to boats long enough to make that worthwhile.
