I was a big fan of the Navionics iPhone apps which I thought worked well and were a phenomenal deal. However they discontinued the original version and their new ones I find to be hardly useable. To make matters worse, the original version 4 ones are beginning not to work - my GL and west coast still do, but the east coast wedges after the first screen draw.

As anyone tried the Transas or other alternatives? I know about the iNavx app, but would like something lighter weight. I mainly use the iPhone for quick planning or discussing routes etc. with others (and when the $20K Raymarine system freezes.....).
