They think by adding the active GPS function it could be used in place of the CP. They're right! The problem with their logic is that other people will pass them by -- they can't protect that turf.

From what I'm reading the top choices might be Navionics, iNavX (and possibly Bluechart Mobile as a complementary planning tool IF you own a Garmin CP)
