It looks like the new version you mention is for both iPhone and iPad. I'd be checking with Apple support if I had a problem or a hard restart of the iPhone to see if that clears it up.
There's no good reason that my copy works fine and yours doesn't unless there's corruption, memory shortage, or somesuch. Good luck with it.
